A few days ago, I went to Morrisons for some groceris and ended up buying an apple (Jonogold) tree, a pear (conference) tree and a gooseberry bush. £13.50 for the three of them. Add that to our fig tree, quince tree, bay tree and herbs, we have a healthy start to our homegrown crop. The potatoes I’m growing in boxes in the greenhouse are going well too.
